Yacht Management, Maintenance, and Consulting Damsel Marine has been proudly serving the East Coast yachting community since 1999. Based in Stuart, Florida, Damsel Marine has happy clients not only in the US, but all over the world. Our staff brings over forty years of professional experience in operation, maintenance, and management of yachts large and small, crewed and owner operated, power and sail. We have overseen major cosmetic, mechanical, and structural refits, and have operated and serviced yachts on both sides of the Atlantic, the Mediterranean Sea, the Caribbean Sea, and in South America. We have worked in steel, alloys, wood, and composites. With our diverse background, Damsel Marine Services can provide the you with the expertise necessary to keep boating simple and enjoyable. Damsel Port Tack, c. 1956 I gew up in Michigan, right on the lake. My father was from a long line of yachtsmen, and had grown up sailing the family's 39-foot Rhodes Bounty, Damsel. By the time I was eight years old, any free time I had was spent on the water. I'd take my own little skiff on adventures miles up and down the river---which my parents didn't mind, so long as I made it home in time for dinner. A couple years later, my father taught me to sail on my uncle's Laser, and I spent my childhood exploring and sailing on the shores and tributaries of Lake Michigan. The heel of a sail boat, the pull of a tiller, the roar of an outboard motor filled every summer. The challenge of docking, sailing and navigating boats inspired me. I carried that love with me into adulthood. After earning my BFA from the University of Alabama, I embarked on a carrer as a professional sailor, working for and with yacht owners to cross the Atlantic, and sail to amazing places all over the world. I have a great passion for sailing but I really apreciate vessels of all kinds. I commercial fished while in college and spent more than a decade running private and charter motor yachts as large ase 190 Gross Tons. Yachts are where I fell in love, where I decided to marry my wife, where I raised my children. In the family tradition, we have owned Damsel III, Damsel IV, and Damsel V. When I started a business sharing my love for boats of all kinds with my clients, there was only one name I could have chosen. DAMSEL is in my blood, and my personal mission is to keep your vessels in prime condition, so you can make your own dear memories at sea. I,
